Privacy policy.
What this website collects, what we do with it, and — just as important — what we deliberately do not do.
A security firm should practice good data hygiene on its own site. Here is ours.
Blue Shift Technology LLC (“we”, “us”) operates bstedge.com. This page explains how we handle personal data in connection with this website. It is written to be read, not to be survived. It was last updated on the date shown in the footer year.
What we collect
Only what you send us. If you use the contact form, we receive the name, work email, organization, company size, service interest and message you submit. We ask you not to include passwords, private keys or other secrets in that form.
What we do not collect
This site runs no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, no behavioural profiling, and sets no cookies of its own for tracking. We do not build a profile of you across sites, and we do not fingerprint your device.
Third parties in the path
Two services are involved in delivering the site and its form, and each sees limited data as a technical necessity:
- Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery. It processes standard request data (such as IP address) to serve pages and protect against abuse.
- FormSubmit — relays the contact form to our inbox. It processes the fields you submit solely to deliver the message.
- Google Fonts — two typefaces load from Google's font CDN, which receives the request needed to serve them.
We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone for marketing, ever.
Why we hold it, and for how long
We use contact-form submissions only to respond to your inquiry and, if it leads somewhere, to manage the resulting engagement. We keep inquiries no longer than we have a legitimate reason to, and we delete correspondence that does not lead to work on a reasonable schedule.
Client data during engagements
Data we handle while delivering services is governed by the individual agreement and any data-processing terms we sign with you — not by this website policy. As a matter of standing practice, we encrypt client data in transit and at rest, restrict access to the engineers on your engagement, protect any credentials you entrust to us, and delete client data on the schedule set in the agreement.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@bstedge.com and we will act on reasonable requests promptly. Depending on where you live, applicable law (such as GDPR or the CCPA) may give you additional rights, which we honour where they apply.
