A small firm that does two things properly.
Blue Shift Technology LLC. We run IT, and we secure it, for small and mid-sized businesses. We are deliberate about what we claim.
The handoff between IT and security is where most incidents are born.
A generalist IT provider builds the environment. A security vendor arrives later and produces a report about it. Neither owns the outcome, and the gap between them — the unpatched host nobody claimed, the service account nobody could explain, the backup nobody had restored — is where the incident actually happens.
We removed the handoff. The engineers who build and run your systems are the engineers accountable for their security posture. It is a narrower business than being everything to everyone, and that is the point.
Being specific about our client is part of being honest about our work.
- Company size
- Roughly 10 to 250 people. Large enough to depend on your systems; rarely large enough to justify a full internal IT and security team.
- Sectors
- Professional services, fintech and regulated startups, healthcare-adjacent, e-commerce, and any business where downtime or a breach is an existential rather than an inconvenient event.
- Geography
- US-based engineering and support, working primarily with US organizations. Blue Shift Technology LLC is registered in SAM.gov for public-sector work.
- How we fit
- We replace an IT function you do not have, or extend a small internal team with senior capacity it cannot hire for. Both are normal; we will tell you which suits you.
Five commitments. Hold us to them.
- 01 — No unverifiable claims
- If a statement cannot be checked against a standard or a measurement, it does not go on this site.
- 02 — You own everything
- Repositories, credentials, configuration and documentation are yours from day one. You can replace us without a hostage negotiation.
- 03 — We scope honestly
- If you do not need the thing you asked for, we say so — even when it is the more expensive thing.
- 04 — We stay in our lane
- Legal and regulatory determinations belong to your counsel and your compliance function, not to an engineer.
- 05 — Same engineers
- You talk to the people doing the work. There is no account layer to translate through.
Because the absence of this section is itself a signal.
We are not a certification body and we do not hold every framework listed on this site. When we reference ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, NIST or FATF, we mean these are the standards our work is built and measured against, and which we help clients satisfy — not badges we have collected.
We do not publish client logos or case studies without written permission, which means we publish very few. We do not quote satisfaction scores we invented. And if a prospective engagement needs a capability we do not have, we will say so and point elsewhere.
We are a young firm, and we would rather tell you that than fake a decade of history. What we offer is senior engineering, direct accountability, and references we will arrange privately once a conversation is serious — not a wall of logos we are not entitled to show.
